Director-General Rong-Chuan Wu of TECO-Atlanta, accompanied by Senior Consular Officer Bill Huang, met with U.S. Congressman Mike D. Rogers (R-AL) in Anniston, Alabama on April 13, 2004.

D-G Wu briefed Congressman Rogers on Taiwan's latest development in economy, trade, and political democratizations. Mr. Wu also discussed with Rep. Rogers ways to further promote trade and investments between Taiwan and Alabama.

Mr. Wu urged Congressman Rogers¡¦ support of Taiwan's bid to participate in international organizations such as the UN and World Health Organization, which Congressman Rogers promised to help as a member of the Congressional Taiwan Caucus.
