Director-General Wu meets with Congressman Jo Bonner

Director-General Rong-Chuan Wu of TECO-Atlanta, accompanied by Senior Consular Officer Bill Huang, met with U.S. Congressman Jo Bonner (R-AL) in Mobile, Alabama, on August 20, 2004.

 D-G Wu briefed Congressman Bonner on Taiwan's latest economy, trade, and political developments and the cordial sisterhood between Mobile and the City of Kaohsiung. Congressman Bonner praised the spirit of diligence and dedication infused into the State of Alabama by immigrants from Taiwan. He also recalled the friendships he made in Taiwan over the years. Congressman Bonner offered to help to promote closer economic and cultural exchanges between Mobile and Kaohsiung and suggested that Mayor Frank Hsieh of Kaohsiung lead a delegation to attend Mobil's Festival of Flowers next March.
