News & Events >> 2007 Women
of Culture: November 16, 2007 On November 14, 2007, the Taiwanese Women¡¦s Group of Atlanta and TECO in Atlanta hosted the International Women¡¦s Club of Atlanta at the Director General Wu¡¦s residence for a cultural expose of Taiwan. President Sherry Hsiao invited artists to demonstrate the traditional Taiwan arts of flower arranging, calligraphy, zither playing, and tea ceremony. As a licensed instructor of Taiwanese flower arranging, Mrs. Wu demonstrated several techniques while Director General Wu explained the finer points and history of the art. Mrs. Jenny Chang and Mr. Jackson Chang demonstrated the tea ceremony, Mr. Chuck Wu gave a presentation on Taiwanese calligraphy and Ms. Shu Fang Chen played several lovely, traditional compositions on the zither. The demonstrations were met with excitement and inquiry by the members of IWCA. Antonella Lovinger, President of IWCA thanked Director General Wu and Mrs. Wu for their time and hospitality and commented on the quality of the event. A number of the IWCA members were unaware of Taiwan¡¦s many singularities. The demonstrations led to discussions on Taiwan¡¦s role as a democratic nation. The morning was concluded with a lunch catered by Eurasia Bistro. ¾n¨È¯SÄõ¤j¿ì¨Æ³B¨ó§U¨È«°°ü¤k·|¿ì²z°ê»ÚÁp½Ë¬¡°Ê ¨È¯SÄõ¤j°ü¤k·|¦b¥»³B§d³Bªø¤Ò¤Hµo°_¤U¡A©ó11¤ë14¤é¤W¤È¦b¥»³B³Bªø±JªÙÁ|¿ì¡u¥xÆW¤å¤ÆÅW®b¡v¬¡°Ê¡AÂǥѴ¡ªá¡B¯ùÃÀ¡B®Ñªk¤Î¥jºåªíºtµ¥¶µ¥Ø¥H¤Î²{³õ¼½©ñ¦³Ãö¥xÆW«O¦s¤Îµo´¶Ç²Î¤å¤Æ¼v¤ù¡A¦VÀ³ÁÜ»P·|¤§¨È¯SÄõ¤j°ê»Ú°ü¤k·|(International Women Club of Atlanta)¦¨û®i²{¥xÆW¤å¤Æ¯S¦â¡C¨ä¤¤¥Ñ§d¤Ò¤H©Ò¥Ü½d¨Ã°t¦X§d³BªøPower Point»¡©ú¤§ªáÃÀ¡A¨Ï¨Ó»«¹ï´¡ªáÃÀ³N¤§·½°_¤Î¤º²[¦³³Ì¸ÔºÉ¤§»{ÃÑ¡CÂù¤è·|û§ó¦bªíºt¬¡°Êµ²§ô«á¤§À\±Ô¤¤¿Ë¤Á¥æ½Ë¡A¹ï¦U¸Óªíºt¶µ¥Ø¶i¤@¨B¥æ´«·N¨£¡A¬¡°Ê¥þµ{¹O¤T¤p®É¡A»P·|¨Ó»«§¡ªí¤£µê¦¹¦æ¡A¨Ã¹ï¥»³B¤§ºë¤ßµ¦¹º¯ÉªíÁ·N¡C
