TECO Talks Real Estate

October 16, 2006

The International Real Estate Council of Georgia (IRECGA), a council of real estate professionals who strive to succeed in and reach out to an international marketplace, met in the Georgia Association of Realtors Headquarters on Monday, October 16th to discuss the Taiwanese community’s real estate needs. Mr. Surinder Bahl, president of IRECGA and Ms. Shannon Bruce of Georgia Association of Realtors invited Director General R.C. Wu, Commerical Division Director Jeremy Shen, and President of the Taiwan Chamber of Commerce in Atlanta Mr. Joe Tu to speak about doing business with Taiwanese investors.

Mr. Wu showed a video to highlight the culture of Taiwan and give the members a more intimate look at the lifestyles of the Taiwanese community. Together with Mr. Wu, Jeremy Shen provided statistics and commercial perspectives on Taiwanese real estate buying trends in Georgia and about the real estate market in Taiwan. Mr. Tu offered some more personal insight into the preferences and trends of the Taiwanese real estate investments in Atlanta and in Georgia.

After the discussion, the panel of speakers answered questions from the audience of realtors. The Q&A was followed by a Chinese buffet, provided by IRECGA.
