Double Ten National Day Cup Tennis Tournament

On a sunny October 15, 2005, seventy-six Taiwanese-American tennis players gathered to celebrate the Republic of China’s (Taiwan) 94th National Day with some healthy competition. The tennis tournament was sponsored by Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Atlanta. Director General Wu and his wife Rachel are both avid players.

This was the first tournament in many years, meeting the needs of over 100 active tennis players in the local Taiwanese-American community, who often travel as far away as Washington D.C. to play.

The men’s doubles champions were Bi-Chung Wei and Chien-Tai Yang. The female champions were Shu-Fuei Lo and Rachel Quan.
