TECO Celebrated Taiwan¡¦s 94th National Day in Birmingham, Alabama October 10, 2005 Director General R.C. Wu and Mrs. Wu hosted the 94th Taiwan National Day Reception at Homewood Public Library in Birmingham, Alabama. This was the first time such an event was held in Alabama. During the reception, Mr. Wu awarded Dr. Y.T. Tsai, President & CEO of Regitar U.S.A, with the ¡§Friend of Foreign Services¡¨ Medal in appreciation of his long-term contributions in promoting the bilateral relation between Alabama the Beautiful and Taiwan. Several dignitaries attended the reception including Alabama State Secretary Nancy Worley, Senator Roger Bedford, Chairman of the Finance & Taxation Fund Committee of Alabama Senate, and Representative Jim Carns, the Minority Leader of the Alabama House of Representatives. Members of the Taiwanese American Association and Taiwanese Student and Scholar Association were present as well.
