Director General R. C. Wu Visits University of Georgia

D-G R. C. Wu of TECO in Atlanta visited the University of Georgia in Athens, GA on Jan. 25, 2005. D-G Wu exchanged opinions respectively with Vice President Dr. Arnett Mace, Dean Dr. Thomas Lauth, Deputy Dean Dr. Clifton Pannell, and Dr. Fusto Sarmiento of International Educational Affairs on enhancing bilateral academic exchange and cultural relations. The meetings were friendly and fruitful, creating new exchange opportunities for Taiwanese students, professors and cultural performers at UGA.

D-G Wu also gave a speech, to the students of the Center for International Trade and Security, on Taiwan!|s political and economic development, cross-strait relations, and Taiwan-US and US-China ties. D-G Wu gave the students real examples of the history of Taiwan's democracy and freedom and China!|s communism and dictatorship over the last 5 decades
