About TECO Atlanta

The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Atlanta is one of 12 offices under the Washington D.C.-based Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office (TECRO), Taiwan's de facto embassy in the United States in the absence of diplomatic ties. TECRO was established in 1979 to represent Taiwan's interests in the US.

TECO Atlanta serves the following southeastern states: Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina. TECO offers consular services and is dedicated to promoting cooperation and mutual understanding between Taiwan and the United States in economic, cultural and other areas.

Following is a list of TECO offices in Atlanta:

駐亞特蘭大台北經濟文化辦事處是中華民國在美國東南地區之代表機構。本處服務地區包括阿拉巴馬、喬治亞、肯塔基、北卡羅萊納、南卡羅萊納及田納西等六州。本處除提供領事服務外，並致力於提昇台灣與美東南區各州政、經及文化等各方面之交流。

本處下轄三組，其主要功能如下:

  1. 新聞組負責與媒體及學術單位聯繫，並藉參與各項研討會及展覽等活動增加中華民國能見度。該組並提供海報、地圖及小冊等介紹台灣之文宣資料，並備有中英文影片供外界借用。

  2. 商務組負責推動台灣與美東南區雙邊貿易、投資關係，提供廠商商情及投資資訊，並藉聯繫美國政商界人士及參加商展、研討會等活動促進雙方經貿往來。

  3. 華僑文教服務中心聯繫僑胞及僑社，提供僑務諮詢及相關服務，輔導中文學校正常發展， 舉行藝文、體育活動並出借場地供僑團辦理各項藝文及聯誼活動。
